I like this app very much, I have been using it since version 7. Now using verison 8 under Windows 2008 server, so only disadvantage so far is that it cannot be run as service under 2008 :( this would be a really nice feature. But other then that is working like a charm

This is an awesome product. My needs were seemingly very basic: 1)Ease of selecting folders to back up; 2) Saving an exact copy of the folders/files, not some proprietary file format; 3) Back up modified/added files in subsequent backups. Such basic, commonsense needs, and yet every other product I looked at seemed to lack at least one of these features. Thanks for putting an end to my frustration.

I have used Second Copy 7 for a few years and really liked the program. One very useful feature of Second Copy 7 was that it could be run as a service in Windows XP. I am disappointed to learn that the current version of Second Copy 8 cannot be run as a service in Windows 7. When do you expect that Second Copy 8 will be able to run as a service in Windows 7?

I just realized today that I have been using this program for eleven years. It has been absolutely worth having and using. I've had several disk failures over the years. BTW, there are columns for 'Source' and 'Destination' in the main window. It would be nice have an additional one, 'Archive', should you be so inclined.

I have only been using the Second Copy program for a short period of time, but I must say I love it. I am a court reporter and it is essential that I save my transcripts. I have been backing up manually for the longest time, and with Second Copy I just "set it and forget it." The only problem I am having is that the program is interfering with my court reporting software. So I have to remember to shut the program down before I initiate a court reporting transcript when I am on the job. Other than that, easy to set up, easy to customize program. Have been recommending it to all my court reporting buddies. Thanks.

Finally a user friendly, intelligent backup program that just works without a million errors or settings that have to be dealt with. Thank You and good job on the development. I hope it only continues to get better.

I have been using this program for years.
It has literally "Saved My * * *" through several crashes/disasters/accidentally deleted files.
We suffered a lightening strike Sat that blew out much of our electronics. Backup drive (external) was OK so all I had to do was copy folders and files to new machine and GOOD TO GO !!
